There has been a lot of talks about the dark side of technology and Pagadi Aattam too talk about just that. Directed by Ram K Chandran, the flick has Rahman, Nizhalgal Ravi, Gawrri Nandha in lead roles.
The movie revolves Surendar. He is a rich child of Nizhalgal Ravi and Sudha. His affluent life has negative sides. He has multiple girlfriends and is capable of keeping them all, unknown to each other.
He enjoys the kind of life he leads and is carefree about the feels of others. One fine day he is abducted and is locked inside a box with a cell phone. He gets a call from a man reminding him of his past sins. Surendar then guesses who is the caller. It is a relative of a college girl Monica. The callers seeks revenge and how Surendar gets out of it forms the rest of the story. What happens to the girl and why the caller wants to vent out his anger is all answered in the screenplay.
After a stunning performance in Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, actor Rahman is back in the role of a cyber crime senior cop. The actor has once again proved his worth and has performed par excellence.
Gowri Nandha as the auto driver and sister of the heroine has done a neat job. Suriya’s character has lots of negative shade.
Music by Karthiraja is worth mentioning. He has also done a good job with the background score. One thing the director could have worked on better is the screenplay. Although the ending is clinched, it could have been done better.
On the other hand, the movie has a deep meaning. It talks in length as to how innocent girls spoil their lives trusting rich men.
