Director, actor Samuthirakani is all set to make his debut in Mollywood. He will be directing his first film in Malayalam which is a remake of the Tamil flick Appa.
The remake will have Jayaram in the lead. The shoot for it began recently.

Appa was produced by Samuthirakani himself in association with Etcetera Entertainments, the movie features him in the role of a father who adores and admires his son.
Thambi Ramiah, Vinodhini, Preethi, Namo Narayanan, Vela Ramamurthy, Vignesh and Raghav are also in the cast.
