Who said comedy will not appeal masses? Vivek known for his hilarious roles alongside almost all top heroes has taken to his strength and pulls it off in style with Palakattu Madhavan.
Vivek and Sonia Agarwal play a middle-class couple in Palakkad Madhavan. It is a hilarious. Naan Than Bala was last Vivek venture as hero. Here he compensates for the serious role he did there.
The film directed by Chandramohan, is fun ride.
Madhavan (Vivek) relinquishes his job after he gets inferiority complex as his wife Lakshmi (Sonia Aggarwal) earns more than him.
He decides to shift the job and earn more than his wife. After all jinxed attempts, he plans something new and strange. He adopts an old woman (Sheela) as his mother with a hope that it will give him the needed monthly salary which is higher than his wife’s earning. But the real trouble begins for him only now.
Vivek strikes it rich with his one-liners. He is cool and casual. Watch out for Sonia Agarwal, who does give her best.Sheela is apt choice.
Though at places one is reminded of comedy serials, the movie manages a good watch.
