The 13th edition of Chennai International Film Festival which was supposed to begin today was postponed due to heavy floods. Now the organisors have chosen to reschedule the same.
According to sources, the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation which is planned for the mega event said, ‘We empathise with those siffering due to floods and hence chose to postpone the event’.
Now it would be held between 6 and 13 January. We would screen movies in Woodlands, two screens in Inox and RKV Theatres’.
‘Over 150 films from 50 countries would be screened and there would be competition for best Tamil film category too’.
