Suraaj is back with a commercial masala entertainer. Quite like his earlier films, Sakalakala Vallavan is an entertaining and engaging affair. It sets up a debate between arranged wedding versus love marriage. Jayam Ravi plays is part of a full-fledged comical entertainer. The movie was initially titled Appatakkar and it has Trisha, Anjali, Soori, Vivek among others in the cast. Camera is UK Senthil Kumar and music by Thaman. Produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers, the movie features Jayam Ravi a rural boy. Jayam Ravi and Trisha gets married. But since they don’t share common vibes they decides to get separated. She comes to Ravi’s village to seek divorce. Meanwhile Ravi wants to teach her a lesson. Along with his friend Soori, he does all tricks.Anjali contests elections with the help of Soori and Ravi. Trisha contests against her. The climax is as to who – Ravi’s wife won the elections or his lover. Jayam Ravi hogs all limelight. He is flawless and super cool. Comedy seems to be his forte. Soori makes you laugh loud. Trisha is energetic. Anjali is back after a brief interval to impress, Vivek does a best show. Sakalakala Vallavan is a splendid show and does make an entertaining watch.
