Arun Vijay seems to have weathered the storm in the form of accident in his car. He was reportedly booked for drunken drive.
However he was not arrested immediately and it happened after almost 48 hours.
In the melee, the senior official in the Pond Bazaar station was suspended.
When Arun Vijay surrendered before police yesterday and was granted bail in Egmore court, he said that he took it light after the policeman said that he would take care of the issue.
Sadly the policeman has becpome a victim for the incident
