Kollywood came to a standstill today as members of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) went on a one-day strike. All shooting were cancelled, which included post productions works.
The strike was the outcome of the complaint lodged by South India Cinematographers Association (SICA) chief P C Sreeram, who alleged irregularities by its ex office-bearer and FEFSI president G Shiva among others.
FEFSI has stated that the complaint wrongly accused its association’s leaders and hence they decided to go on strike.
P C Sreeram on behalf of the SICA lodged a complaint at the City Police Commissioner’s office a couple of days ago seeking to initiate criminal action against the erstwhile office-bearers who allegedly misappropriated union funds to the tune of Rs 40 lakh.
