What would you do if a causal phone call turns your life upside down forever? Directed by S Baskar, this is the story line of Hello Naan Pei Pesuren. With Vaibhav, Aishwarya Rajesh, Oviya, VTV Ganesh and Karunakaran in the lead, Hello Naan Pei Pesuren, too joins the long list of horror comedy movies that is trending Tamil cinema. Produced by Sundar C under his home banner of Avani Films, the movie has music by Siddharth Vipin, Banu Murgan has handled the camera and NB Srikanth has edited the flick. The trailer of the movie managed to draw people’s attention, but what you really see on screen is humour overpowering horror. May be good for a cause, however, it has manged to change the genre of the movie. The story revolves around Vaibhav, the protagonist. He is a small-time conman and leads a fun-filled life with his pals and girlfriend, Aishwarya Rajesh. He accidentally finds a spooky mobile phone. His life changes topsy-turvy when he receives a phone call. He converses with a spirit over the phone and things take a complete turn. The events that follow provide him many horror moments. Rest of the film deals with how Vaibhav and his friends get rid of the unwanted guest, which has been narrated with abundance of comedy. For Vaibhav, acting seems natural. All is well with Aishwarya Rajesh. She has given her best ever, even as a ghost. VTV Ganesh has rocked the screen with his comedy. In the hands of Baskar, the story has evolved well. There are scenes where humour overtakes spookiness, but that can be overlooked. The interesting screenplay seem to be the hero of this flick. All is well that begins well and Hello Naan Pei Pesuren has made a mark.
