Some of Tamil cinema’s leading young directors today got their big screen opportunity through their short films.
Short films have consistently proved to be a good barometer to gauge talent. The success stories of these directors have inspired many to try their luck through short films.
Zee Tamil is launching Lights Camera Action on April 30th and this will be a unique platform for aspiring directors to get themselves on the radar of the film industry.
Lights Camera Action is envisaged as a one hour program telecast every Sunday between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
This will showcase the best of selected short films. Budding directors can show their prowess here and increase their chances of taking their talent to the big screen.
The event will be hosted by popular Tamil and Malayalam actress Rohini. She wears many other hats too and is also a talented lyricist, screenwriter, voice actor and director.
She started her career very young at the age of five and has worked in about 130 south Indian films. She has won a National Award of Special mention. Who can be a better Host than her?
