Papanasam – Review

Actor Kamal Haasan’s fans eager wait for Papanasam ended today. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the original, Papanasam also has Gautami, Niveda Thomas, Asha Sarath, Baby Esther, Anand Mahadevan, MS Baskar, Kalabhavan Mani, Delhi Ganesh and many others to its star cast. The movie has music by Ghibran.

The movie has music by Ghibran. The entire movie is set in Thirunelveli. Kamal Haasan speaks in Nellai dialect in the movie.

The story is set around a middle class and a simple family. A family saga with emotions at right mix, it is a superb movie.

For Suyambu Lingam (Kamal Haasan), his life are his wife Gauthami and daughters Niveda Thomas and Esther. Almost the entire first half shows how close knit they are as a family but an unprecedented happening mars their peaceful life. How they overcome such a difficult situation is the plot here.

Asha Sarath and Anant Mahadevan besides Ilavarasan, M S Baskar and Delhi Ganesh does a great show.

Gibran’s songs are pleasant to hear while the BGM is apt for the story. Jayamohan’s dialogues elevate the mood.

Produced by Sripriya Rajkumar and George Pious, Papanasam is a movie to cherish for Kamal fans. The thriller is sure to strike a chord with masses.
