At a time when it was cribbed that women hardly visit theaytres, Kamal Haasasn’s Papanasam has managed to prove it wrong.
The family drama, a remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam, was released on Friday only to see women and family audience coming in large numbers.

Jeethu Joseph who directed the original has also helmed the Tamil version while Ghibran has composed the music for the film.
Papanasam also has Gautami, Niveda Thomas, Asha Sarath, Baby Esther, Anand Mahadevan, MS Baskar, Kalabhavan Mani, Delhi Ganesh and many others to its star cast.
