Rumours are doing rounds that Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Papanasam’ has been denied entertainment tax exemption by the State government.
A special committee that saw the movie had recommended no tax exemption for the movie.
Jeethu Joseph, who directed the original has also helmed the Tamil version while Ghibran has composed the music for the film. Papanasam also has Gautami, Niveda Thomas, Asha Sarath, Baby Esther, Anand Mahadevan, MS Baskar, Kalabhavan Mani, Delhi Ganesh and many others to its star cast.
