Actor Rajinikanth has filed a reply petition with the Madras High Court in response to financier Mukanchand Bothra’s plea seeking the actor to take any action against his in-law and filmmaker Kasthooriraja for financial fraud.
Bothra had alleged that Kasthooriraja used Rajinikanth’s name and took a sum of Rs 85 lakh as loan. ‘The cheque given by Kasthooriraja bounced. When I made enquiries with Rajinikanth, he said many are misusing his name. But we want the actor to take action on Kasthooriraja.’
Bothra alleged that while Rajinikanth filed a case against a production house for using his name (Main Hoon Rajinikanth), he is not bothered about the debt bought by his relation to whom he is a guarantor.
In his petition, Rajinikanth stated that he never stood as a guarantee for the amount borrowed by Kasthooriraja uri Raja and also said that Bothra is trying to degrade his fame in the society.
Rajinikanth clarified that he never stood as a guarantor for Kasthuri Raja.
He said that Bothra has filed the petition with a motive to tarnish his image. The allegations have brought him heart burns and said it would damage his reputation among masses. The case has been posted for hearing after four weeks.
