Actor-director-producer T Rajendher today claimed that a group in the film industry was working against his son STR (Simbhu) to ensure that his films do not get released. ‘They want to stifle his growth’, he said.
Addressing media persons here today, Rajendher, said, ‘we have been advertising that Vaalu starring STR will hit the screens on 17 July and we have been coming out with advertisements for the past couple of weeks. After being quiet for so long and when the release date is nearing, a few have gone to court seeking a stay on the release of the movie’.
‘It is a concorted effort to stop the movie from hitting the screens’, he alleged and added, ‘I am a firm believer of God. I know He will be give me a favourable judgement’.
Urging STR fans to remain calm, he said, ‘When NIC Arts, which has produced Vaaalu, were in a financial crunch, my son ensured that they completed the movie without any hassle and did not even take any remunaretaion.’
Recalling STR’s emotional speech in an audio event event recently where he said that he had lost all his earnings in the last couple of years, Rajendher, said, ‘the biggest treasure for me and my wife is STR. We have earned a lot for him. He should not worry’.
He said the court has posted the hearing on Vaalu’s release to 13 July. ‘I hope all decks are cleared for the movie’s release. I will respect the judgement of the court’, he said.
