Noted filmmaker and screenwriter K Subash passed away at a private hospital today. He is survived by wife and two daughters. He is son of the veteran director Krishnan (Panju).
Subash started his career as assistant to Mani Ratnam. He shot to fame with Sathriyan starring Vijayakanth and it was produced by Mani Ratnam.
Subash had directed manyt films that starred Sathyaraj, Khushboo, Ajith, R Parthiepan, Prabhu Deva among others.
He wrote scripts for Shah Rukh Khan-starrers Chennai Express and Dilwale and Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3.
