S 3 which was slated to release on 23 December has once again been postponed.
The movie which was to see the light in Tamil and Telugu (as Yamudu 3) has been seeing delays in its release. This time the makers sight external factors for its postponement. Starring Suriya in the lead, the movie has been directed by Hari.
Says Suriya on twitter, ‘Dear all! #S3 stands postponed due to several external factors not under our control !. Believe it’s for the larger good !. Need all your support !’.
However, sources close to the film’s unit say the delay is because of the censor certificate. The movie has got a U/A for its violence content and the producers want to go to Revising Committee to get a U. Getting a U in Tamilnadu allows the makers to get tax exemption.
S 3 is a franchisee of the Singam series. The third instalment too has Suriya playing the role of a tough cop, Duraisingam. Anushka Shetty, Shruti Haasan play the female leads. Thakur Anoop Singh and Soori play key roles.
Music is by Harris Jayaraj. The audio rights has been got by Eros Now South. Cinematography is by Priyan.
