Thousands of youngsters are thronging the shores of Marina to protest against Jallikattu ban. Several film stars have also joined hands with them in this.
The latest to join was Karthi, who was at the ground zero yesterday. The actor was at Marina this morning by 11 am ht to join the students in their fight. The actor covered his face and sat among the crowd to support their sentiments and left the venue early in the morning.
Meanwhile actor Vijay was at the protest arena late last night.
Close to his heels was director Shankar. The filmmaker too joined the strike at Marina. He posted this in his social media page, saying, ‘I am at marina supporting #jallikattu what a spirit! what a discipline! we need this unity for lot of changes salute to the real heros.’
Actors Suriya, Sivakarthikeyan and Prasanna were also present here on Friday.
Several film personalities tweeted their admiration for the manner in which the youngsters have been holding the agitation.
Filmmaker Karthik Subbararaj, Venkat Prabhu, actors Premgi Amaran, Nitin Satyaa among others expressed their support.
