However 2016 is a special year for them as the actor has chosen to repeat the task.
After a debacle in Lingaa which landed him in lots of controversy, Rajinikanth has bounced back and agreed to do two films with no break.
His much-awaited Kabali has been completed and that the actor has already started to shoot for 2.0, a sequel to hit Endhiran.
The former by Pa Ranjith stars Radhika Apte opposite him, while the latter by Shankar has Amy Jackson as his heroine.
The actor, who recovered from a bout of illness a few years ago has chosen to speed up things. And for his fans it is a big delight.
