Here is another attempt to bring real life to reel. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has registered his new film title as Shashikala, which he says will be the story of a politician’s close friend.
He announced this on twitter this week, he said, ‘Just registered my new film title ‘Shashikala’, it’s the story of a very dearest closest friend of a politician and completely fictional.’
It may be noted that Sasikala Natarajan is the real life close aide of former Chief Minister Jayalalaithaa.
‘Shashikala is going to be a very very sincere from the heart Tamilan love story and absolutely nothing to with fictional non-politics,’ he said and added, ‘Jayalalithaa ji respected Shasikala ji much more than she respected anybody else proves why I should call my film Shahsikala.’
The movie he said will be about, ‘Jayalalithaa seen through the eyes of Shasikala is much more poetic and honest thought than seeing Jayalalithaa only through Jayalalithaa. Amazingly warm and close relationship they shared.’
