With just a month to go for Nadigar Sangam elections, campaigning is on at hectic pace. It’s team Sarathkumar versus Vishal and his supporters in the elections.
Addressing the press in Chennai, the incumbent president Sarathkumar expressed confidence that his team would win the polls, which is to be held on 18 October.
The actor-politician said, ‘I am deeply hurt by allegations of fraud levied against the incumbent office-bearers on Nadigar Sangam building issue.’
‘I have kept quiet simply because I do not want to drive a wedge in the association. I can say that all legal angles were carefully considered before we signed the deal with SPI Cinemas. If objections had been raised then, I would have never gone ahead with it’, he said.
The actor said that had always been striving for the welfare of the association and his members.
Recalling the past, he said, ‘When Uttama Villain starring Kamal Haasan had issues on the day of the release, I was involved in discussions for 36 hours. Even during troubles faced by Karthi’s Komban and Vishal’s Payum Puli, I was there to sort out the issues’.
