Over 150 films from 40 countriues will be screened at the 13th edition of Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF), beginning 6 January un Chennai.
Says E Thangaraj, festival director, CIFF, ‘the week-long fete will see films from China, Colombia, USA, Romania, Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Canada among other countries screened.
The festival will pay tribute to veteran filmmaker K Balachander and veteran actress Manorama , who passed away recently.
Balachander’s classics including Achamillai Achamillai, Agni Satchi, Oru Veedu Iru Vasal, Unnal Mudiyum Thambi, Sindhu Bhairavi, Major Chandrakanth, Aval Oru Thodarkathai would be screened.
