Some sections of the media had reported that Ilayathalapathi Vijay had pledge his support for the DMK.
Denying this the president of All India Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay Charitable Foundation has asked fans not to believe in this and claimed that it was a rumour.
The head office has sent a press statement saying that the association is not supporting any political party.
‘The actor has not extended his support to any political party and fans should not be misled by these statements that are making the rounds.
The foundation has decided to take a neutral stand this election. We have not extended support to any political party. Fans of Ilaya Thalapathi can vote for the party of their choice,’ it said.
Also, it has prohibited the use of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam’s flags and logos in the political campaigns.
