AR Rahman has climbed the ladder of success in the world of music, now, the composer has taken a new avatar.
The Oscar winning musician will soon be directing a movie that will be around smell.
To be produced by Canadian film and music distribution company Ideal Entertainment, Rahman’s directorial debut short film will be Le Musk.
Speaking about his movie, Rahman says, ‘Le Musk is not only shot in VR, but includes a scent element. When I was introduced to VR, I was fascinated by it. Movies then felt kind of distant after engaging in VR. As per the scent element, my wife, she’s very much into perfumes. We talked about why not make a movie with a scent element?’
Apart from Le Musk, Rahman will also be making 99 Songs, a feature-length romantic musical. The Mozard of Madras is also doing a concert play titled One Heart.
