Combining a strong message and realism in a movie is no easy task. But three cheers to filmmaker Bramma, who has come up with a film that is engaging, entertaining and refreshing. Bramma’s approach to a problem and offering a solution is marvellous. At the same time, the filmmaker has not gone overboard and makes it a simple film with enough for audience to take back home. The movie is produced by J Sathish Kumar who seems to have developed an affinity to produce films that boasts of a string content and at the same time entertain them. Bramma’s brilliance lies in getting things worked out with a set of newcomers, who are no familiar to audience in any way. They have lived up as characters and delivers a strong performance. Kuttram Kadithal has already swept several awards and accolades and a commercial success would add one more jewel in its crown. Besides international film festivals, the movie also won the coveted National award. The movie is about a teacher Merlin (Radhika Prasiddha). A newly-married girl she is all set to start a new life with Manikandan ( Sai Rajkumar). At the school, she punished a naughty boy (Master Ajay). She hits him and he goes into coma. Now the boy’s mother and and his uncle take up the task of fighting the teacher. Radhika Prasidhha is the scene-stealer. She emotes to her best and liven up the proceedings. Equally good is Sai Rajkumar. Interestingly Master Ajay is at his best playing a tough role with consummate ease. Kuttram Kadithal with enough elements to entertain masses is a surely a classic.
