Call it a carnival of kids. Five stories woven together in an interesting manner with surprising twists and turns. A movie on children is never easy to make. It not just needs patience but also serious thinking. Three cheers to producer Neeya Naana fame Antony and director Charles. They have managed to weave a magic on screen. The movie predominantly revolves around the world of children. But has enough emotions and the need to have bubbly kids ion our life. The children led by Ken Karunaas play a stupendous role. Charles has convincingly narrated the story without any confusion. Watching young children perform on screen is a delight. Their innocence and energy are infectious. A couple in the verge of break up fighting for the custody of their child. A young woman who is cheated by an aspiring chess player, a couple who wants to have a baby in their family, a poor autodriver who after four daughters in their family wants a baby boy and last a a group of young children who want to stage a play on Jesus Christ makes up the story. The likes of Karunaas, Suresh, John Vijay, Chetan, Thambi Ramiah, Aadukalam Naren and Metro Priya chip in well. Music is by Ved Shankar cinematography by Vijay Armstrong. But the movie progresses slow and some dramatic scenes towards the climax could have been avoided. In all, Azhagu Kutti Chellam is more educative.
