Madhavan had always seen Kamal Haasan as his mentor. The two worked together in few films and Maddy had gone on record saying that he was inspired by the works of Kamal Haasan and learnt a lot from him.
When the trailer of his movie Salaa Kahdoss being made as Irudhi Suttru was out, Kamal Haasan has wished him all success.
Ulaga Nayakan, who is in USA for pre-production works of his movie, has congratulated him. Madhavan in return thanked him for the gesture.
It is a sport drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. The film features Madhavan in the leading role as a boxing coach.
Both versions are produced by C V Kumar and S Sashikanth for Thirukumaran Entertainment and Y NOT Studios, while Varun Manian’s Radiance Media presents the Tamil version and UTV Motion Pictures, Madhavan’s Tricolour Films and Rajkumar Hirani present the Hindi version respectively.
