Women centered films have always been in vogue. Now how different they are forms the crux of each storyline. In this line upcoming director Karthik Subbaraj has come up with his women powered movie Iraivi. Although it follows the cliche type where the woman moves on with herself without the help of the male (husband), this movie talks about from the men’s angle. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, SJ Suryah and Bobby Simha in the male lead while, Anjali, Pooja Devariya and Kamalinee Mukherjee play the female leads. Karunakaran, Radharavi, Vadivukkarasi and Kaali Venkat play supporting cast that has added some value to the story. The first half of the movie is pretty fast and entertaining, while the second is a bit slow. Loaded with several plots the movie have several twists and turns. S J Suryah has killed with his performance. Vijay Sethupathi has equally done a neat job. Adding more flavour to the whole negative show is Bobby Simha. The director seem have done a good job with his cast selection. Santhosh Narayanan music is below average, his songs are not a support one for the movie. The story is so good but the screenplay has not been well crafted by Karthik Subburaj, but we can appreciate him for his bold attempt at a sensitive subject.
