RJ Balaji will now be part of Maniratnam’s upcoming movie. Titled Kaatru Veliyidai, the movie features Karthi and Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
Says the noted radio jockey cum actor, ‘And this did happen for real. Grew up watchin his films n now to be part of a Maniratnam Film. Feels like a dream!’
Director Mani Ratnam will start the shoot for this from 8 July in Ooty. Noted lyricist Vairamuthu has penned the songs and music is by A R Rahman.
Sources says the song have been composed and the director will start shooting for it first.
Said to be a romantic drama, Karthi is to play an NRI who falls in love while on a trip to India. He will don the role of a pilot. Aditi Rao Hydari will play his ladylove. She will appear as a doctor.
Ravi Varman will crank the camera. The movie will be bankrolled by Madras Talkies, and the Tamil Nadu distribution rights have been already sold to Sri Thenandal Films.
