Actor Kamalhaasan fractured his leg after he slipped and fell from staircase at his house-office here in Alwarpet this morning. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he underwent a minor surgery.
A close associate of the actor said that he sustained a fracture on his right leg when he slipped. A team of doctors attended Kamalhaasan at the hospital where he is doing well. He has been advised a week’s rest.
Kamal had returned from USA a couple of days ago after completing the shooting for the first schedule of his movie Sabaash Naidu in Los Angeles.
The next schedule of Sabaash Naidu is likely to happen in Hyderabad and the exact date will be decided only after how fast Kamal Haasan recovers.
The actor was supposed to attend the audio launch function of K S Ravikumar’s directorial venture Mudinja Ivanai Pudi on 20 July.
Directed and produced by Kamal Haasan, Sabaash Naidu has his daughter Sruthi Haasan play a key role. The movie is about Balram Naidu, a character from the movie Dasavaratam.
Sources say the film is expected to hit the screen by December this year. It is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.
