Sports is an integral part of everyone’s life, said director Pa Ranjith after inaugurating a badminton academy in Pallavaram today.
‘I am still the same person as I was before Kabali and nothing has changed after the success’, he said.
‘I am happy that P V Sindhu won silver medal in the Olympics. It will silence all those who said women should be only in kitchen. It shows the power of the women,’ he added.
‘The entire country was watching badminton yesterday and there is an urgent need to give equal importance to all sports’, he added.
Asked about his next venture, Ranjith, said, ‘I am scripting the story for my next movie and a formal announcement would be made soon’.
The badminton academy named as De Base is located on Thiruneermalai Road, Pallavaram. Actor Kalaiarasan and VJ Lingesh were also present on the occasion.
