Actress Shruti Haasan has lodged a petition with the Cyber Crime branch of city police alleging harassment by a Karnataka-based doctor, KG Guruprasad, who has threatened to kill her.
The stalker has also been sending Shruti Haasan abusive and derogatory messages on Twitter since September 2016.
In a two-page complaint, which was submitted to the Cyber Crime grievance cell at the City Police Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday through her agent Praveen Antony, Shruti sought action against the cyber stalker who sent her abusive and derogatory messages via Twitter.
In her complaint, Shruti alleged that the harasser had been using expletives and highly derogatory terms to abuse her and in some of the messages, he threatened to kill her as well. As per the details, the accused said he would stab the actress if he managed to get near her.
Shruti Haasan has attached screenshots of the messages in her complaint. Guruprasad works as a doctor at the Hassan Institute of Medical Science in Karnataka.
