Vijay Tv – Christmas 2014 – Special Programmes & Movies on Thursday, 25th December 2014.
7 am – Thank You Jesus
The day starts with the cheerful carols by the city’s best choir. The show will feature the popular Christmas carols of all- time. Also, a compilation of Christmas wishes from the religious heads insisting about the purpose of Christmas and the values associated with the auspicious day.
8 am – Songs of the Season
Leading playback singers join together in a stage to sing the Christmas Carols.
9 am – Koffee with DD Season 2
A cool chat with Prabhu Solomon and D. Imman about the upcoming movie “Kayal”.
10 am – Special Movie – Nanban
The biggest blockbuster of 2012 directed by one of the most prominent names in Indian cinema, Shankar. Starring the “Ilayathalapathy” Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyaraj, Sathyan, SJ Surya. Nanban tells the story of three Engineering students who come from different backgrounds with different goal in their lives. Pari (Vijay), Senthil (Jeeva) and Venkatramakrishnan(Srikanth) are the three friends who are very close friends in the class. Pari wants to see studies that should be useful to our lives and doesn’t believe in memorizing subjects like Srivatsan (Satyan). Pari wants to change the education system and often lock horns with Professor Virumandi Santhanam (Sathyaraj) the Principal whose says: “Life is a race – Run Run Run”. He wins the heart of Virumandi’s daughter Riya and the film is about his journey.
2 pm – Special Movie – Saivam
A family drama directed by Vijay, starring Nassar and Baby Sara of Deiva Thirumagal fame in lead roles, supported by newcomers Baasha (Nassar’s son), Twara Desai and Music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The family of Kathiresan (Nasser), a respected man in his village, has come from various parts of the globe for the local festival. Tamizhselvi (Sara), Kathiresan’s granddaughter, is an endearing presence in the family, and she is fond of her pet rooster, Paapa. After a minor accident, the family is told that they might have displeased their god and they believe that all their ill-luck is because they failed to offer the rooster to the god as a sacrifice. Even as they decide to fulfill their vow, Paapa goes missing leaving the family in a tizzy.

Celebrating Christmas day with music, a special show loaded with music & carols.
