After a brief intreval, Srikanth is back with more responsibilities on his shoulders. He plays the lead role in a sci-fi film that is produced by wife Vandana. And directing the flick is former associate of S S Rajamouli, Ganesha.
With Santhanam to take care of the comedy and Vijay Antony scoring peppy numbers, it seems Srikanth has managed to cross the hurdle with no big fuss.
The crux of the story is good vs evil. And quite appropriateoly, the movie has been titled Nambiar, a veteran actor seen as an epitome of evil in many yesteryear films.
Srikanth and Sunaina play the lead roles, while Santhanam takes care of humour.
Ramachandran (Srikanth) has dual emotions. A man inside a man. If one represents positive energy, the another is full of negative thoughts.
Whenever the hero attempts to do something, the negative thought influences him a lot and makes his life miserable.
Saroja Devi (Sunaina) makes an entry into Ramachandran’s life and romance blossoms. The cat and mouse game between good and bad thoughts in Ramachandran makes up the movie.
The movie is loaded with fun and with Santhanam on board there is no dearth of comical one-liners.
The movie is engaging as it begins, but gets a tad slow in the middle with lengthy dialogues and slow narration.
Vijay Antony’s songs add zing to the subject. Editing by Vivek Harshan is sharp and crisp.
Nambiar does have some happy moments.
