Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva finally see the light.
A remake of the Telugu movie Pataas, it stars Raghava Lawrence, Nikki Galrani, veteran actor Sathyaraj, Ashutosh Rana, Vamsi Krishna, Jayaprakash, Sathish, Sriman, Kovai Sarala, Devadarshini and Manobala in the cast.
Actress Raai Laxmi does a special cameo. This cop masala entertainer is written and directed by Sai Ramani of Singam Puli fame. Produced by R B Choudary, music is by Amresh Ganesh.
Shiva IPS (Raghava Lawrence) is a corrupt IPS officer who misuses his power to gain monetary benefits. He also encourages a local MP played by Ashutosh Rana to join in this crimes. All this happens as Shiva wants to take revenge on his father Kirubakaran (Sathyaraj), who is also a honest policeman.
His father is the reason why his mother died and this does not go well with Shiva. It so happens that Shiva is unaware about his father’s good dead – he actually left his wife in the hospital to save several families in a riot.
Shiva has a close friend who gets killed by the villains. This angers him and Kirubakaran unhappy with his son’s ways, tells him why he actually left his mother and unborn sister at the hospital that fateful day. Does Shiva reform after this and plays a honest cop forms the rest of the story.
The first half is hilarious with several punchlines, comedy and romance. Raghava Lawrence is the life and blood of the movie. His screen presence is there throughout the movie. However, the second half has some emotional moments.
The movie is a through masala film has adding to the already loud film is its tracks, music by new comer Amrish. Almost all the songs in the film have come out well. The BGM also has gelled to the script.
There is no dearth of action sequence and Raghava Lawrence has given his smashing performance. Nikki Galrani is a bundle of energy in the movie. She glides through her role with ease.
Sathyaraj is always a gem of an actor. This veteran never ceases to enthrall audiences with his lively and outward performance.
Overall it is a full length masala movie for the B & C audience.
