Director Vikram Kumar has proved himself again. Breaking all barriers about sci-fiction, 24 has turned out to be a perfect entertained with stunning visuals and excellent acting on the part of actors. Revolving around the theme of time travel, Suriya plays triple role. Sethuraman (Suriya) is a horologist who invents a time machine (a watch) that allows a person to go into the future or rewind to the past or freeze time itself. His son is Mani (Suirya) is a watch expert. Athreya (Suriya), is the bad guy. The villain is after the device and will do anything to get hold of it. How Mani saves the device from Athreya and how why the villian is behind the time device is what the story is all about. As always, Suriya is at his best in the role of Mani, Sethuraman, Athreya. The actor has proved what he is good at always. Be it love, romance or action, Suriya has carried it off par excellence. The most gripping is the movie’s VFX. Stunning visual supported by graphics has come out really well. The time travel moments are up to the mark. Thirru’s cinematography deserves the most credit. In his hands the plot has evolved well into motion picture. He has managed to show enough difference in each character played by Suriya. Vikram Kumar deserves all the credit. His strong screenplay that flows with the plot is terrific and nearly flawless. Although Nithya Menen has a short role to play, she has made a mark. Samantha as Mani’s love interest shared a good chemistry. Saranya, in the supporting role play a dotting mother to her foster child. A.R.Rahman’s music elevates the music to the another level. Although the movie has its own lay-backs in the form of love and romance, in his hands of Vikram Kumar, 24 has taken this genre to a new level.
