The newly-elected members of Nadigar sangam has huge task on their hands. It may be recalled that in the run-up to the polls, the team launched a systematic campaign against former president Sarath Kumar and ex general secretary Radha Ravi, focusing on the contentious deal signed by Nadigar Sangam with SPI Cinemas to develop the 19-ground prime property in the heart of the city (Habibullah Road, T Nagar).
Sources in their camp say that their foremost work would be to get the deal inked by the previous management of the sangam cancelled and ensure the case filed in this regard by Poochi Murugan is withdrawn.
Interestingly, the newly-elected president of the association Nasser has said that they would work as a family and involve all members in the running the affairs. Acknowledging the same, Sarath Kumar said that he would co-operate with the new team.
