The veteran actor of Malayalam cinema Padma Shri Madhu joined the sets of ‘Maiya’. He plays a significant role in the movie.
The shoot commenced with a prayer for the recently departed souls O.N.V.Kurup, Anandakuttan, Cinematographer and Rajamani, music director.
In his career spanning 53 years, ‘Maiya’ is his third Hindi movie.
Madhu’s first Hindi movie was Saat Hindustani, which was the debut movie of the Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan in 1969.
According to him, ‘it was a great experience to be part of a Hindi film after a long time’.
The movie is directed by Anil and Asha puthli doing the lead.
