Veteran actor Vijayakumar called on Union Minister and senior BJP leader Pon Radhakrishnan at Kamalayalam here and joined the party.
The actor also expressed his desire to campaign for the party in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Vijayakumar, said, ‘Impressed by the welfare measures initiated by the Modi-led government at the Centre, I chose to join the party and will extend my co-operation in taking the good deeds of the Central government to the masses’.
Welcoming the actor into the party, Pon Radhakrishnan said, ‘We are hapy that a veteran actor like Vijayakumar chose to associate himself with us. We welcome him whole-heartedly’.
Much recently, actor-director Visu joined the party, which already has actress Gayathri Jayaraman and music composer Gangai Amaran in into fold.
