Vijay’s Kaththi which is to be remade in Telugu is likely to have Anushka play the female lead.
Sources close to the film’s unit say that the actress will reprise Samantha’s role in the movie.
Megastar Chiranjeevi will play the lead and VV Vinayak of Tagore fame will be directing the film.
Anushka who is part of Suriya’s S3 and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is expected to start working on this film once she is done with these projects.
The actress has also signed up for another Telugu film Bhagmati.
The remake of Kaththi will be produced by Lyca Productions, the original producers of Kaththi.
The movie will be jointly produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja.
