Kabali movie’s another record

Rajinikanth’s starrer Kabali will be making another record. The film would be the first to be dubbed and released in Malay.

The movie which is in its final stage will be released in Malaysia along the Tamil version this July.

Malik Streams Productions and Distribution, a Malaysian media company has dubbed the film. Kabali is dubbed and released in the Malay as Rajinikath has a large number of fans in Malaysia.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, the movie has Rajinikanth playing the role of an aging don. The movie has Radhika Apte, Kalaiyarasan, Kishore, Dinesh Ravi and Dhansika play key roles in the film.

Says Ranjith, ‘ Kabali, too, has a social message. In fact, every film of mine will definitely have one. I do not want to preach, but I definitely want my films to open up discussions among the audience on a given issue, and about the way I have perceived and portrayed it.

I have a purpose to being here – it’s the one reason I wanted to be a filmmaker in the first place. Cinema is a popular medium, we can communicate a lot of things to the masses, and I want to do that’.

Rajini sir’s characterisation in Mahendran’s film, Mullum Malarum, has always been a ‘lesson’ of sorts for me, he adds.
