Iraivi, Karthik Subbaraj’s comedy drama is all set to hit the screen on 3 June. The cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Kamalini Mukherjee, S J Suryah and Anjali.
Speaking about his movie the filmmaker says, ‘The film is about the women in every man’s life.’
Music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who has worked with Karthik in his previous films.
Speaking about his star cast, the director, said, ‘S J Suryah is a wonderful actor and we have not utilised his skills fully’.
He also lavished praises on Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha for agreeing to be part of the project.
‘Iraivi would be a best movie in my career and Karthik Subbaraj extracted the best from me,’ says S J Suryah. Actors Radharavi, Senthil, Bobby Simha, Thambi Ramiah, Karunakaran, music composer Santosh Narayanan, producers C V Kumar, Gnanavelraja were present. A couple of songs and trailer of the movie were screened on the occasion.
Talk about his inspiration, the filmmaker says, ‘Veterans Balachander, Bharathiraja and Mani Ratnam inspired me to do a movie like Iraivi.’
Iraivi will be Karthik’s third movie after Pizza and Jigarthanda.
