Composer turned actor Adhi is all set for the release of his debut movie Meesaya Murukku. The film is set to hit the screens on 9 June.
Meesaya Murukku also marks his directorial debut. A romantic musical, the movie is said to explore the story of a youngster who wants to make a name for himself in the independent music industry.
The audio launch is expected to happen in April. The Tamilnadu theatrical rights have been acquired by Rockford Entertainment.
The flick is produced by Sundar C for Avni Movies and has Aathmika in the female lead. Actors Vivek and Vijayalakshmi play supporting roles.
It may be recalled that a promo music video titled, Saitji released from the movie became an instant and did face some controversies.
A community of people said the video hurt their sentiments. The makers then had to issue an statement regarding it.
Adhi made his debut as a music composer in Vishal’s Aambala.
