Ailing actress-singer Paravai Muniyamma today thanked AIADMK general secretary and Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for providing her Rs six lakh financial aid and Rs 6000 as monthly pension.
Jayalalithaa had ordered yesterday that besides Rs six lakh, Paravai Muniyamma would be given Rs 6,000 per month for her family expenses from the Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Trust.
Also, she announced that the medical expense of Muniyamma, who was recently admitted to a private hospital in Madurai, will be borne by the trust.
The assistance was handed over to her by State Co-operative Minister Sellur Raju in Madurai. Thanking Jayalalithaa, Muniyamma said, ‘considered my old age and poor family condition, the Chief Minister has helped me. I am greatly indebted to her and will never forget her in my life’.
