A team led by Deputy SP of Cochin K S Sudarshan summoned five people, including an actor to Chalakudy police station to take their statements, in connection with actor Kalabhavan Mani’s death.
Police reportedly found arrack from the actor’s outhouse, where he used to spend time with his friends. The outhouse has been sealed.
Mani (45), died in a private hospital in Kochi on Sunday evening.
Police sources said a case of natural death was registered and the body would be handed over to the relatives after postmortem, which would be held at government medical college, Thrissur.
Meanwhile a special team of police was formed to investigate into the incident.
