There are reports that actor Vijay will not take to campaigning this elections and would abstain from the same.
The actor who has opver 50,000 fans associations reportedly held a meeting with members of his association and has chosen to take the decision.
Reports say that during laast Assembly elections, he had campaigned for the AIADMK.
But the subsequent developments and troubles surrounding the release of his movie has compelled Vijay to take the decision.
The actor is now out of the country and all efforts to woo him by parties across Tamilnadu ended in vain.
Vijay’s next release is Theri which is hitting screens on 14 April.
