An official remake of the the Korean film My Dear Desperado, the Tamil version seem to have gone well with viewers. Although the storyline remains the same, the bond between a young girl and a weather-beaten gangster, director Nalan Kumarasamy has managed to keep his audience glued to their seat. Produced by CV Kumar, the cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Madonna Sebastian, Samuthirakani and Senthil. Vijay Sethupathi should be applauded for his natural performance and Madonna Sebastian has been impressive. This seems to be good start the Preman girl into Kollywood. The duo have managed to bring a crackling onscreen chemistry. The breezy first half makes you completely fall in love with the movie. All credits to the director for super quirky and crispy dialogues. Ka Ka Ka Po seem to have some impressive scenes. The whacky mix of local underworld, unemployment, bankruptcy mixed with comics seems to have works well to the director’s credit. Music is by Santhosh Narayanan is an added advantage. Three songs namely ‘Ka Ka Ka Po’, ‘Paravai Paradhuchu’ and ‘Akkam Pakkam Par’ have become instant hits. Camera by Dinesh Krishnan is breezy. A feel good movie, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is a good mix of drama, romance. Nalan has made the most predictable moments stand out with his intelligent presentation. In short, this romantic comedy movie has come a long way and is quite promising.
