Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) headed by Kalaipuli S Dhanu has come out with crucial decides on releasing small-budget films.
Several small film hardly see the light and thousands of them remained canned forever. To break this and give all filmmakers a chance, the council in association with exhibitors and thearte-owners has formed a committee to ensure the welfare of the industry.
A committee has been formed comprising few men from these three bodies.
The panel would hold negotiation with government to get several welfare measures pending for them, maintenance of theatres among others.
The highlight is the association has decided to release small budget films once every month on a week-end. On that day, only small movies would hit the screens.
