Actor Kamal Haasan has wrapped the first schedule of his movie Sabaash Naidu.
Interestingly the movie, which was supposed to be directed by T K Rajeev Kumar, is now being helmed by Kamal himself.
Says Kamal Haasan, ‘It is no easy task to direct a film. But I should thank one of my mentor and good friend R C Shakthi. He made me a co-writer in my first film as hero. I was only 18-years old when he gave me the status.’
On directing Shruti Haasan, he says, ‘She is a professional. Unlike her parents who walked with apprehension, she is surefooted already. Shruti is both a star and an actor, to my surprise’.
On Sabaash Naidu, he says, ‘If everything goes well, I should be finishing the film by August or September’.
On back to comedy, he says, ‘I never left comedy. Even Vishwaroopam had comedy elements in it. When everyone laughs on the sets during the shoot, it is an indicator that it is shaping up well.
Sabaash Naidu had moments like it while shooting and even during editing’.
