The ferocious cop Duraisingam is back in the third part of the franchisee. There is no dearth for action, as director Hari makes his lion roar.
Starring Surya, Anushka Shetty, Shruti Haasan, Radha Ravi, Mehaboob Nassar, Janaki Sabesh and Raadhika Sarathkumar in the lead, the flick is yet another quest laid out before audience.
Singam 3 starts off with the death of a police commissioner in Andhra. He is murdered and the state government seeks the help of Tamilnadu police. The case is assigned to Duraisingam (Surya) who goes to Andhra to start the investigation. Shruti Haasan plays a journlist and starts following Duraisingam from the moment he lands in Vishakapattinam.
In the process, he gets to the root cause for the murder. Duraisingam finds out that foreigners companies bring their waste and burn it in India. This pollutes the environment and affecting children. He also finds out that a group sells expired medicines. He then learn that the commissioner is murdered as he naps these culprits. Thus begins the journey of the super cop.
How he eradicated these anti-socials and brings the murdered to justice form the rest of the plot.
A typical Hari style film, the movie is race and loud. Suriya’s screen presence is massive and unlike his previous two outing, he has performed much better. One of the key aspects of the movie is Hari’s screenplay and Harris Jayaraj’s back ground score.
Anushka Shetty still plays Duraisingam’s lady-love. Although her screen presence is less, she managed to get her act right. Well do they marry in this sequel is up to you to find out.
This is the second movie for Suriya and Shruti Haasan. The latter is a talented actress and has proved herself useful in the flick. She has a meaty role in the entire movie.
Harris managed little bit with background score, but fails in the songs.
The stunts are good and sharp editing has made the movie fast pace, not to mention the long duration of the flick. However, the entire movie seems to be moving fast.
The Suriya and Hari combo gets a thumbs up and Singam 3 will definitely engages audiences that its two prequels.
