Nisabdham Movie Review & Rating

Amidst mindless masala entertainers these days, comes Nisabdham, a film that speaks about sexual harassment of children.

A dark film based on a real life incident, it speaks about the agony of victim, trauma of parents and social condemnation that they face.

Michael Arun, who has worked in many films in RB Choudhary’s Super Good banner, makes his debut as filmmaker.

Ajay plays the lead while Nadodigal fame Abhinaya dons a key character. Music is by Shawn Jazeel.

The movie revolves around Bhoomi ( Baby Sathanya), who is physicxally abused on her way to school in Bengaluru. The agonised young child goes through emotional trouble and mental agony. The same her parents see.

Though the rapist is identified, yet the cumbersome legal procedures and victimisation add to their agony. The media galore on the incident and the victim’s family adds more to trouble.

Three cheers to Michael Arun for gathering guts to do such a straight forward film which is the need of the day.

Baby Sathanya plays a tricky character and she does it to perfection. As traumatized parents Ajay and Abhinaya pour right emotions. Kishore as a tough cop goes about with his job well.

Michael Arun deserves credit for walking the tight rope with ease. Nowhere he made it preachy and managed to capture emotions well.

Nisabdham is a touchy tale of reality. A must watch.
